Challenges

Bringing modern ADAS and AD technology to market is challenging. Consumers expect higher levels of automation and constant improvements to software. This requires solutions for faster software delivery and testing across a vast and quickly expanding validation space.

Why Cloud Engine?

Applied Intuition Cloud Engine is a simulation execution engine that allows engineering teams to run object, sensor, and log simulations at scale in the cloud and break down silos across teams and time zones.
Scalable, reliable, and cost-efficient infrastructure to orchestrate and run tens of thousands of parallel simulations in the cloud
Web-based workflows to create and manage scenarios, define continuous integration (CI) test pipelines, and view and analyze results
Unified cloud environment for test creation, management, and analysis at scale

Benefits

Accelerate software delivery

Find and resolve bugs more quickly with CI testing and web-based tools for software evaluation.

Scale ADAS and AD testing

Ensure software stability by automating regression testing at scale. Validate vehicle software quickly and cost-efficiently with highly parallelized cloud simulation.

Collaborate globally

Break down silos across teams and time zones with a unified cloud environment for test creation, management, and analysis at scale.

Key components

Large-scale simulation and analysis

Cloud Engine provides scalable, reliable execution of large-scale parallel simulation for any simulator, with orchestration across cloud and hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) environments. View assessment results, evaluate software performance, and integrate with Validation Toolset for enhanced insights across system requirements and operational design domain (ODD) taxonomy.

CI pipelines

Integrate with existing build systems (e.g., Jenkins) to automate scenario-based testing with CI pipelines. Run automated commit-blocking regression tests for every code change, configure larger scheduled assessments for integration and progression testing, and use the Cloud Engine web application to view results and debug issues.

Cloud-based simulation workflows

Create and manage scenario-based tests at scale in the cloud, with collaborative workflows for version control, test management, and test result analysis. Users can share, comment, and debug collaboratively and compare results across software versions over time.

Interoperable, configurable infrastructure

Cloud Engine uses Kubernetes to run on AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, and on-premise, with configurable infrastructure and tools to manage cloud costs. Engineers can also trigger tests and fetch results through well-defined APIs. Cloud Engine integrates seamlessly with local environments for local-to-cloud and cloud-to-local workflows.
